Sept 11, 2002 (11 days from his 14th birthday)
Just as we never forgot about or forget to tell our children about such terrible events as Pearl Harbor , the Holocaust and the Columbine shooting, we will never forget about the victims of the September 11, 2001 World Trade Center attacks.
It was a gloomy day. I remember watching the first and second plane hit and the smoke and ruble shooting out from the towers to the street. I remember hearing about Flight 93. They fought back and died to save the lives of complete strangers. I remember so I won't forget.
On September 11, 2002 one of the things the country should do is have at least a minute of standing silence. They should broadcast on every station a memorial program and 24-hour fundraisers. They should also make it a national holiday of mourning to remember the fallen.
Today I feel pretty confused. I mean today is September 11, 2002 and I'm at school. Sorry to say this, please excuse my French, but what the hell! Not to sound cold hearted or anything but I really don't think there should be school. Today we should be at church, temple, at home or anywhere reflecting on what happened and praying for all the victims' family. Hey, but that's just my opinion.
